1. Machine wash your rug in cold water on a gentle cycle. Use no bleach. Be sure to balance your load with colored towels or other heavy textiles. If your washer has an agitator, we recommend folding your rug in half with the design side showing and gently wrapping it around the agitator.
2. To dry your rug, lay it flat on a clean dry towel. Gently pull the sides back into shape. DO NOT pull loose yarn as you may unravel the design. Instead, carefully trim any pilling that may occur on the surface of your rug.
3. For those little spills or spots that you want to remove without putting your rug into the washer, we recommend that you spot clean with clean, clear water. Do not use soap unless absolutely necessary when spot cleaning. If soap is used, take special care to rinse adequately. You may want to rinse with a solution of vinegar and water to help completely remove any soap residue left on your rug. Soap residue left on your rug will attract dirt and consequently become soiled sooner than the rest of the rug.
If the spot on your rug is in a tufted (not hooked) area, than consider using a dry brush to remove dirt and debris without the use of soap or water.
